Our
manufacturing technology in this field covers bridges, water gates, stacks,
penstocks, steel aqueduct pipes, and shield tunneling machines, which all
contribute to development of social infrastructure and improved urban functions.
The technology used to manufacture these products is backed by our total engineering
service for: urban development; waterfront development; geofront development;
and labor energy saving equipment for transport and distribution
overseas
projects for various types of bridges including long-span suspension bridges,
cable-stayed bridges and continuous box girder bridges. Rich experience and
proven technological achievements in water gate construction are also demonstrated
by our contributions to water resource development, water control and water
supply stabilization by delivering main tail races for dams, river weir water
gates and other water gates. Super high-rise buildings and power generation
plants are where our steel flame supplies are greatly appreciated for their
quality. Steel stacks, aqueduct pipes and penstocks are also sold in large volumes
to our many customers.
We
are committed to continual research and development to promote effective use
of subterranean resources. As a result, we have sold many shield tunneling machines
to the construction industry. Labor and energy saving facilities for the transport
and distribution industries, and automated construction systems are being developed
and marketed under the distribution category. Effective use of waterside space
is another campany interest. We are involved in construction of marine facilities
, such as underwater observation towers, fishing facilities and esplanades.
We
are now established as an international engineering contractor who carries out
total project management, covering all stages from preliminary design to plant
construction with the help of advanced CAE (Computer aided engineering) systems.
With a plant equipment history of nearly 70 years, Hitachi Zosen's production
facility is one of the world's largest, and can manufacture large high-temperature,
high-pressure equipment. This facility is the driving force behind our supply
of large quantities of reliable equipment. Our reputation as a world leader
in plant equipment production is linked to a record heat exchanger production
